Reducing Homelessness

In my career, I have:

  • Championed the County's historic $72.7 million Homeless Initiatives Plan
     

  • Established a scholarship to help students experiencing homelessness

  • Helped hundreds of families transition into long-term housing and careers

  • Directed $10 million to local resource centers
     

  • Backed The Path's motel-to-housing program and wraparound services
     

  • Invested $20 million in housing grants to keep our community housed
     

Because getting people off the streets means getting them help, not just moving them along.
